On Friday I signed books on the dock at Surge Narrows, just outside the door of the floating post office on Read Island, British Columbia. It seems everything has come full circle with this project and my heart is so full.

We woke up to whales on Wednesday after thunder overnight. The tide fully flooded, the ramp hanging flat between the pier and the dock. I stood under the eave, drip, drip, drip, watching the rain and then BLOW!

Fall into the holiday season with new Read Island cards
When the days shorten and the aspen leaves crisp and crunch, my energetic summer outlook wanes. First I stiffen in anticipation; fall is in the air. And then I breathe.
