Holy cannoli! I was thrilled when Read Island was named the early reader/children's picture book winner of the 31st Annual Writer's Digest Self-Published Book Awards earlier this month. It was another wonderful way to be recognized for the hard work of making picture books and then sending them off into the world.
There are many excellent titles among the winners, so make sure to check out the list and request them from your local bookstore or library (this really really helps independent authors!).
